The fifth scientific and technical workshop “Computer simulation in railway transport: dynamics, strength, wear“

Welcome

We invite you to take part in the fifth scientific and technical workshop «Computer simulation in railway transport: dynamics, strength, wear» which will be held on 19-21 May 2020 in the tourist base “4 seasons”. Workshop address: Naberezhnaya 14a, Zhukovka, Bryansk Region, 242700, Russia. This workshop is organized by Computational mechanics laboratory of Bryansk State Technical University.

We invite to participate:

  • scientists and teachers of railway universities and departments;
  • managers and researchers from railway-related companies, engineering and scientific research organizations;
  • researches and engineers involved in the development and analysis of railway vehicles, railway track, wear and rolling contact fatigue problems.

The workshop format involves cooperative work of all participants without parallel sections, without full articles on the materials, set out in the report. Presentations on current unfinished work are also welcomed. On each report 20 minutes are given.

Information about the seminar can be found using the following links.

 Scope and Objectives

  • discussion of computer modeling of dynamics, strength and wear of rolling stock;
  • exchange of experience, increase of efficiency of application of specialized software products for engineering analysis.

The main purpose of the seminar is to gather in one place representatives of enterprises, representatives of academic and applied science and, thus, to provide an opportunity for fruitful discussions and exchange of views.

Throughout the workshop a school for software users will be organized, «Universal Mechanism» where the features of using this software for computer simulation of railway vehicles in various stages of design and operation will be considered and consultations on the use of «Universal mechanism» software will be provided. The users and developers reports about the latest developments and plans for the development of software will be presented.
